David Foster Wallace
Never had the slightest desire to read David Foster Wallace until
today, standing in line at the Whole Foods on Montana perusing the
cover of Vanity Fair. Jon Hamm was smiling: a real smile not a leer,
and next to it in teeny tiny little font was a quote attributed to
the dead genius:
The truth will set you free, but not until it is finished
with you.
Been thinking about that all afternoon and into the evening and
am going to go tomorrow to my nearest Independent Book store
and buy DFW.
